:00 p.m. pacific. new obama care enrollment numbers out. there are still glitches everywhere apparently. steve handelsman joins us with the details. >> reporter: the website's better but it doesn't mean it's good. the nbc news estimate is that 100,000 americans in november signed up for coverage using healthcare.gov. that's a much better number than in october. but it's way worse than what a dozen or so state exchanges have signed up. today administration sources said by 5:30 p.m. eastern time, the site had 750,000 visits. it slowed down at times. some people got "please wait" messages, so-called queuing going on but no crashes or freezes. but there's the back-end problem. like amazon.com. to work, it has to kick out a command for a lightbulb to be sent to you. that's the back end. healthcare.gov has a back end that sends an 834 file to insurance companies. no one will reveal how many or what percentage. but too many of those 834 files are bad. hard to decipher? impossible to use, some of them. so people who think they have coverage on january 1st in fact might not. >> if health plans d

the affordable care act. well, here's only a sampling of their reactions to the good jobs news. keep in mind, these are statements supposedly about the jobs report. speaker boehner said, we need to protect all americans from the fundamentally flawed health care bill. eric cantor had this to say. quote, stop obama care from reducing hours and eliminating jobs. peter roscom of illinois said we continue to see the lost coverage, cost spikes on the strain of the president's health care law. then there's this sugar plum from tom price of georgia who dug up the old refrain that millions of americans are going to see their policies canceled. it seems no matter what the news, it's like what they did with 9/11 and rudy. every sentence needs a predicate of 9/11. whatever you're talking about, it's back to that. >> yeah. i'm surprised they didn't mention benghazi. because that seems to be the only other thing they have to talk about. i mean, they're going to just -- they're going to run out of obama care attacks eventually. because either millions of people will get new benefits, will sign up in the ne

democrats, not other republicans. mike lee can win utah, but he probably could not win in new hampshire. chris christie can win in new jersey, but he would have a very hard time winning in alabama. and i don't care how many times or how hard ted cruz can hug barack obama, i don't think he could win the majority of the latino vote, the majority of the women vote, a fourth of the black vote in a blue state like new jersey. i want to win elections. that requires fielding candidates that can win. fielding candidates that fit the population needs, priorities of the places where they are running. a winning republican candidate with whom i agree part of the time is a hell of a lot better than a losing republican candidate with whom i agree all of the time. and because this is new hampshire, i want to make an aside here. kelly ayotte is a winning republican candidate. and she's an even better senator. she is thoughtful, she is courageous, she has brains, she has heart, she has guts. she worries about priorities in new hampshire, not republican primaries in new hampshire. and as ted cruz and the
